COVID-19: Information Letter from BLSD
March 27, 2020

Dear Border Land Community,

As you prepare for Spring Break with your children, we want to provide you with an update regarding the COVID-19 situation in Manitoba.

On Thursday March 26, 2020 Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba’s Chief Public Health Officer, spoke to the transmission of COVID-19 in Manitoba, to the importance of social distancing, and to the possibility of an extended class suspension period.  We have been advised that an announcement with additional health orders, including direction to school divisions, will be coming out next week. As soon as Border Land School Division receives any updated information, it will be communicated out to our community.

Social distancing continues to be the recommended method to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Please be mindful of this during the suspension period.

We will keep you apprised of new information as it becomes available via our webpage.  Please also continue to consult Manitoba Health to receive accurate information at https://manitoba.ca/covid19/

Please stay well!

Sincerely,

Krista Curry

Superintendent & CEO

Border Land School Division
