Welcome to RAEC
Manitoba Residents:
Earn your Mature Student Diploma for FREE!
Post-graduates may earn up to 4 credits for no charge.
Students must be 19 years of age or over at the time of enrolment or reach the age of 19 before completion of the course(s) in which the student is enrolled.
Registration for the 2024-2025 academic year is now CLOSED. Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in September.
The Regional Alternative Education Centre is a registered
Adult Learning Centre for Manitoba residents 19 years of age or older
as well as an alternative learning centre for
high school students within Border Land School Division. Students of RAEC must be currently residing in Manitoba.
With few exceptions, RAEC courses are
asynchronous
and
self-paced
, which means you will work through the course(s) at your own pace with your teacher's support.
Students are expected to meet and engage with their instructors regularly. Online students are expected to meet with their instructors via video calls on a regular basis.
We offer continuous intake from September to April 17, which means that you can register at any point during that time period to get started on your course(s).
Please note that we are closed for July and August.
Important dates:
March 21 - RAEC closed for administrative day
March 28 - last day of classes before spring break
March 31-April 4 - RAEC closed for spring break
April 7 - classes resume (RAEC open)
April 17 - registration closes
April 18 - RAEC closed for stat holiday
May 7 -
RAEC closed at 12PM for staff professional development
May 19 - RAEC closed for stat holiday
June 11 - last day for graduated students to submit work
- last day for RAEC 2024-2025 grads to submit work
June 18 - last day for non-graduating students
June 19 - RAEC closed. RAEC graduation ceremony at 4PM
June 26 - last day to request transcripts prior to September re-opening
RAEC CLOSED
for July and August - registrations open in September!
